This silly scene of Captain Stacy and Eddie is really sooooooo silly. Really, whatever the heck was Rami thinking?

Perhaps Rami wasn't even thinking? It was pretty obvious towards the end of the movie that Rami was tired of the whole Spiderman series and he wanted to wrap up the entire series quickly - note how everything was so convenient at the end, especially that of the Butler's revelation to Osborne Jr.

Still to the point where realism is being criticized where Gwen Stacy is falling, it is forgivable on Rami's part since the entire Spiderman movie series to an extent, pokes fun at itself and is not serious.

If I wanted realism, I'll go catch an Arthouse flick.
I am leaving this harbour, giving urban a farewell.
Its inhabitants seem too keen on God, I cannot stomach their rights and wrongs.

Wanderlust, relentlessly craving wanderlust!

I'm not talking about her falling that's silly, it's Eddie and Captain Stacy's reaction which is super-duper silly.

I understand what you mean by it not being too serious, but really scenes like this are pushing the line tooooooooooooo much.

I'll rather have Spidey wise-cracking to his foes like he does in comics and cartoon. (Still hate Raimi for taking out this most vital part of Spidey's personality in the movies.)
